Mike D'errico - Epping/Durham, NH USA

As a classically trained percussionist/multi-instrumentalist, my musical career has been marked by a strong tension between sophisticated musicianship and improvisational collaborations. As a UNH undergrad, I participate in the Wind Symphony, Percussion ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz band (which has performed with jazz legends Clark Terry
and Rufus Reid), and a jazz combo which includes Doug and Greg from Dover funk quartet The Mystery Button, and also Jim Clark from latin jazz group Amigo Blanco. Musical theater gigs have included work at the Leddy Center in Epping, Maine State Music Theater in Brunswick, Maine, and numerous plays with UNH's own theatre and dance company along with independent theatre group Mask and Dagger. Outside of school, I am the drummer and beat coordinator of local pop/rock band Murkadee, making up a rhythm section duo which includes bassist Jon Briggs (Chewy, Chris
Mirenda). Also, I am the current drummer with jazz/pop singer Mary Gatchell, playing alongside guitarist Peter Calo (Carly Simon, broadway musical Hairspray). Other collaborations include work with Industrial/powernoise musicians Nau-zee-aun, the Vomit Arsonist, and art/film extraordinare Darryl Hell. My current solo project, The Attic
Bat, is providing beats for local hip-hop supergroup, Monkey Biz. Much love for the culture...

Finally I served pekora and spring rolls at John Herman's wedding.
