New Hampshire loves the Ford Fiesta
Posted on April 23, 2009
Okay, I’ve been driving the Ford Fiesta for only 3 days, and something quite unexpected has happened. At first I thought it was a fluke. I was so excited to get the car that I wasn’t watching where I was going. After only driving the car for a few miles, I had to stop at a gas station to ask for directions. After getting directions, I stepped into the parking lot to find a middle aged man excitedly walking around my new car, taking pictures with a camera phone. He was so excited to see a Ford Fiesta in America. That was day one.
Day two was yesterday. After a long day at work, I stopped at the local convenience store. Exiting the store, I was stopped by another stranger, a college student who asked me a bunch of questions about the car. She had read all the news articles. She was incredibly excited to hear more about the Ford Fiesta. I told her that I wasn’t really a car person, but it was hard not to get excited about such a fun car. I told her that I was testing the car out and that I can say whatever I want: good or bad. And so far, it was all good.
Finally, several minutes ago, I met Russell. Here he is:
Russell followed me home today. I know it sounds crazy… because it is. This man followed me home and politely approached me in my driveway. He explained that he was a neighbor. He drives by to bring his kids to daycare. Russell was very excited about the Ford Fiesta. I let him sit in the car. He plans on purchasing one as soon as it hits the market. I look a little crazed because I am thinking in my head: This is crazy. I am beginning to realize that the Fiesta Movement has a lot more in store than I bargained for. I’m not a car person, but the excitement for this car is getting infectious.

Hmmm… I do like me some pottery.
Awesome John! Good Luck!
It’s so funny because so far, people in Philly – true to form – don’t give a shit.
I haven’t gotten much more than a passing glance from anyone other than my own friends.
I have to check this thing out.
I desperately want the orange one as my next car.
